This privacy policy sets out how Cardzio uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this website.

Cardzio is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

  1. ​We collect the following:

    • Full name. We use this in the event an account is created or if an order is processed as a guest or registered user. If you have other addresses on your account with additional names, these will also be collected and stored.​

    • Contact information. Information including email address and telephone number. Both may be required to be able to process your order. For example, a courier company may need your telephone number to inform you about your delivery.

    • Demographic information. Information including postcode, preferences and interests to help us personalise emails about the products you are most likely to be interested in. This also includes saving shopping cart information, allowing you to carry on from where you left off and not lose any items in your basket. From time to time, we may send newsletters containing special offers and surveys with your consent.

  2. What we do with the information:

    • We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for;​

      • Internal record keeping. We use your information within the company when you place an order. Your downloadable invoice, which is emailed to you when your order has been confirmed, contains your address and this is handled with the utmost regard and only visible to the staff member packing your order. Additionally, by law we are required to keep a copy of your order which is archived and stored in compliance with GDPR regulations and UK privacy laws.​

      • Promotional emails. We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address you have provided. You can opt out of this service via the link at the bottom of every email from us.

      • Customer service. We may also contact you by mail if no other means of communication have been successful.

      • Geographical marketing. We may also use your location to provide targeted marketing.

      • Display marketing. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests and purchase history or website activity.

  3. Security:

    • We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.​

    • Sometimes we may need to investigate orders that have not passed our automatic payment provider's fraud detection. This will mean that it may take slightly longer before your order is completed as we will need additional time to correct any issues found. In some cases this does mean speaking to our payment processing provider and discussing your account with them. In these circumstances your address is shared with them to validate your payment method.

  4. How we use cookies:

    • A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual.   5. Links to other website:

    • Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over other websites, so please check their Privacy Policies. We cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites, and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.​

  6. Klarna:

    • In order to offer you Klarna's ​payment methods, we might in the checkout process pass your personal data in the form of contact and order details to Klarna. This allows Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment methods and to tailor those payment methods for you. Your personal data being transferred is processed in line with Klarna's own privacy notice.

  7. Controlling your personal information:

    • You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:​

      • Whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not want the information to be used by anybody for direct marketing purposes.​

      • By submitting your information on the website, you consent to the use of that information as set out in this Privacy Policy. If we make any changes to this, we will notify you.

      • We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen.

      • You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you, please contact us using our contact form. 

      • If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect. 

  8. Mobile terms of service:

    • ​The Cardzio mobile message service (the "Service") is operated by Cardzio ("Cardzio", "we", or "us"). Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions ("Mobile Terms"). We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.​

    • By consenting to Cardzio's SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of Cardzio through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list. Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialling system or other technology. Service-related messages may include updates, alerts, and information (e.g. order updates, account alerts, etc.). Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers (e.g. cart reminders).

    • You understand that you do not have to sign up for this program in order to make any purchases, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase with Cardzio. Your participation in this program is completely voluntary.

    • We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan and contact your wireless provider for details. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider. 

    • You may opt out of the Service at any time. Click the unsubscribe link (where available) in any text message or reply STOP to cancel. You will receive a one-time opt out confirmation text message. No further messages will be sent to your mobile device, unless initiated by you. 

    • For Service support or assistance, please send us an email.

    • The wireless carriers supported by the Service are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number. If you get a new mobile number, you will need to sign up for the program with your new number.​
